Mark Power and Barclay Brown will lead off Great Britain and Ireland’s Walker Cup bid at St Andrews on Saturday morning.
The pair are in the opening foursomes at 8.30am over the Old Course, meeting the United States of America duo of Gordon Sargent – the number one male amateur – and world-ranked number six, Dylan Menante. Irishman Power secured three points from four in the match at Seminole in 2021 and will look to maintain his match play form in partnership with Brown, who played in The 150th Open last summer. The Scottish combination of Calum Scott and Connor Graham, the youngest player in Walker Cup history aged 16, will look to feed off the home crowds in match two, coming up against the visiting pairing of Ben James and Caleb Surratt. Walker Cup Tickets - St Andrews 2023
The 49th Walker Cup will be staged over the Old Course in St Andrews in September 2023.
It is the most iconic golf course in the world and was host venue for The Open in 2022. It will be the first time the Walker Cup has been held over the Old Course since 1975. Tickets for both days can be bought individually, as well as the option of a weekend ticket.
