England not only made history by winning the first-ever combined team format at Downfield, they swept all three competitions, winning the combined event and the girls’ and the boys’ competitions. Teams from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales – made up of 16 players (seven girls and nine boys) – will now gather at Lindrick to compete in the new format across three days. Over 18 holes, each match consists of seven foursomes games (three girls and four boys) and 14 singles games (six girls and eight boys). Team positions will be determined by the highest number of match points. Historical trophies will also be presented to the leading country in the girls' and boys' series of matches.View Terms of Competition for more information.

The course, which is a mixture of heathland and moorland, will forever be etched in the history books. It was here that Great Britain and Ireland beat the USA 7.5 – 4.5 to win the 1957 Ryder Cup after a gap of 24 years, led by captain Dai Rees.
