South Yorkshire venue Lindrick is one of the UK’s finest inland courses, providing an excellent challenge to golfers of all abilities. The course, which is a mixture of heathland and moorland, will forever be etched in the history books. It was here that Great Britain and Ireland beat the USA 7.5 – 4.5 to win the 1957 Ryder Cup after a gap of 24 years, led by captain Dai Rees.

Girls' Amateur Championship
For the first time in 2022, the match play stages of The R&A Girls’ and Boys’ Amateur championships were played simultaneously at one venue at Carnoustie. In 2023, Yorkshire venues Ganton and Fulford staged the championships.
In 2024, Alwoodley will host the championships.
